Lawrence-Manchester Rail Trail

The Lawrence portion of the Lawrence-Manchester Rail Trail would connect to the existing Methuen portion of the trail, and provide continuous off-road connectivity from the Methuen line to South Lawrence. The redevelopment of this long-abandoned rail corridor is a keystone of the Lawrence Brownfields Redevelopment Plan

Once this is completed, along with road crossing improvements in a few locations in southern NH, you'll be able to ride a fully off-road path from South Lawrence to Canobie Lake Park (and well beyond).

Status:

The 25% design meeting was held over the summer, the project will be receiving funding via the 2024 TIP, with construction slated to start in late 2024.
